is a delightful historical romance. This is the first work by this author that I remember reading and I definitely have to look for the rest of this series as I am impressed by the beautiful mixture of romance, poetry, humor and practicality portrayed in this book. I enjoyed the word portraits painted...from the hero's discussions with various of his animal friends to the fancy steps displayed by his stallion Sonnet to the wonder displayed by the heroine as she discovers someone that she can be herself with.
