The Pendulum Files by p.m. terrell (guest post, spotlight, excerpt and GIVEAWAY)

It is my pleasure to share a guest post by p.m. terrell plus a spotlight and excerpt from her exciting story, The Pendulum Files
It was my great fortune to win a beautiful pendant during a prior tour for this generous author...so make sure you leave a comment and you might be just as lucky!

Research
by p.m. terrell

I once served on a panel with an author who told the audience that he had never spent one minute on research, and when he received mail complaining about the implausibility of his plots, he told them it was “just fiction”. I cringed when I heard this because I am a stickler for details. Today’s audience is more sophisticated than it has ever been; the Internet alone has opened doorways we didn’t have just a few short years ago, allowing readers to educate themselves on countless subjects from around the world.

I am a news junkie and I tend to read anything and everything I can get my hands on. I have a long list of possible plots that are often gleaned from news reports or even our government’s declassified documents. When the Soviet Union fell apart, it opened scores of additional documents providing details of countless missions against the United States and others.

The plot in
The Pendulum Files revolves around merchant ships being bombed en route from China to the United States. The idea came from a variety of sources, including declassified CIA documents, maritime laws and struggles, Chinese imports to the USA and information on Black Sites.

There is a lot of inaccurate information on the Internet, so it’s always important to me to go only to trusted sites, and then verify the data I’ve received through at least two additional sources.

Vicki Boyd, the psychic spy who must determine who is bombing the merchant vessels, is patterned after real psychic spies that have been used by the CIA and the Department of Defense since the Cold War. I researched the programs the real spies are put through, how their information is verified, and also the personal toll it takes on them as they travel around the world in their minds. Though they are not generally at risk physically (though at least one death continues to remain a mystery to the public) they do encounter the same psychological toll as spies on the ground—being unable to talk about their jobs, for example, and leading double lives.

One aspect of the oceans that has come to light particularly after Plane MH370 went missing is that we know more about the surface of the moon than we know about our own oceans. Vast amounts of the oceans have never been charted and have never been explored. And to search for anything—whether it’s a ship or a plane—in certain parts of the world are at best, challenging, and at worst, impossible.

In writing
The Pendulum Files, I discovered how the oceans are divided into grids, which are used when searching or when the need arises to move into a particular location. I researched maritime laws, especially when dealing with parts of the ocean that are truly not close to any major land mass. I also had to look at motives: who would have the most to gain if goods could no longer safely travel from overseas factories to American consumers?

This wasn’t my first book concerning China and it certainly won’t be my last. China is a sleeping giant who has gone from third world status to superpower potential in a relatively short amount of time. So my research also took me into what they gain through exporting goods—and it goes far beyond making money.

The Pendulum Files

BLURB:

CIA operative Dylan Maguire joins forces with psychic spy Vicki Boyd to find out who is bombing merchant vessels bound for the United States from China. Their mission will lead them to Black Sites, the high seas and into covert operations. And when an assassin escapes from prison determined to finish the job he started, they find their personal lives and their missions are about to collide in ways they never could have imagined.

EXCERPT

She wasn’t quite sure what roused her from sleep. But as Vicki slowly opened her eyes, she became aware of her nude body lying on one side with Dylan’s larger, muscular form curled up behind her. One arm was stretched over her protectively and her derriere rested against his lap, their legs intertwined.

Normally some moonlight found its way inside, but the room was so murky that she wondered if there was any moon at all this night. She narrowed her eyes in an effort to adjust to the darkness as Dylan’s measured, soft breathing remained against her ear.

She nearly gasped as her eyes fell upon a figure just a few feet from the bed. She frowned as it swayed in front of her; it was not flesh and blood—that much was obvious. It was almost opaque and as she continued to stare, it grew more luminous until a tiny woman stood in front of her with long, flowing white hair billowing about her as if blown by the wind.

She wore a thin nightgown that reached from the base of her neck all the way to her feet, and as Vicki continued to stare, she smiled.

“Mam,” Vicki breathed as she recognized Dylan’s grandmother.

Dylan murmured something incomprehensible and held her more tightly against him.

“Be careful what you do, child,” Mam said in a clear voice. “There are eyes on you.”

Vicki gasped and grabbed at the bed covering. “You shouldn’t be watching us!” she exclaimed.

Dylan awakened and leaned over her to look at her face. “What is it, Darlin’?”

Vicki could feel the heat in her cheeks. She half-turned to Dylan to see him watching her with sleepy eyes. “I—” She turned back to where his grandmother had stood, but she was gone.

“Another bad dream, mayhap?” he asked before settling back. “There’s nothin’ at’al to be frightened of, Darlin’. I’ll take good care o’ you.”

She tried to relax against his body once more. She kept her eyes open and her ears on alert but she was met only with silence and a darkness that reminded her that she’d had precious little sleep. Still, she pulled the bedcovers over them, covering their naked bodies.

The grandfather clock downstairs ticked off the seconds, the sound reminding her of just how silent the rest of the house really was. She finally felt herself snuggling into that warm cocoon of sleep.
She could feel Dylan’s breath against the back of her neck; it was the steady breathing of a man deeply asleep. Then she became aware of something else, something against her nose as if someone was breathing on her face.

Her eyes flew open to find Mam leaning down in front of her, her face just inches from hers.

“It isn’t me you need to be concernin’ y’self with, child,” she said. “Other eyes are watchin’.”

“First aid kit?” she asked in a no nonsense voice.

“In the bathroom. Under the sink.” He nodded in that direction.
When she took off to find it, he carefully peeled back his shirt and frowned. The cut was nasty, but not too deep. He wouldn’t need stitches, but it would have to be wrapped and he’d probably need to go see Doctor Marks first thing on Monday. Maybe get a rabies shot or something.

A gasp from the doorway shot through him like a bullet. He yanked his shirt down but it was too late; he could tell by the expression on her face, she’d seen. “It’s not bad,” he said in a light voice.

She snorted and dumped gauze, peroxide, antiseptic and tape on the bed.

And then she dropped to her knees before him.

Holy Jesus God. She dropped to her knees before him. In his bedroom.

His mortification that she’d seen his scars was swept away by a devastating lust. He nearly lost consciousness. Despite the fact he was in pain, his cock rose.

What was it about this woman?

On her knees before him?

“It needs tending,” she said, ripping open a package of gauze and setting it aside. “Lift your shirt.”

He cringed.

Lift his shirt?

On purpose?

In front of a woman?

A woman he wanted to—

“Lift. Your. Shirt.” Her tone brooked no refusal.

“Kaitlin…” He should warn her. She’d seen it, but maybe she hadn’t really seen it.

“Parker, I need to get some peroxide on it and quickly. Please. Lift your shirt.”

Well hell.

It had been a nice fantasy, while it lasted. Once she saw, she’d run screeching the other way. They all did. Or, if they didn’t screech, their noses would curl up and their faces would go all cold. And then they’d quietly run away.

Slowly, he pulled up the hem.

And hell. Yes. Her nose wrinkled.

But she didn’t run.

She touched him. She touched his scars—mottled and discolored and ugly—thumbing them gently. “Hmm,” she said, turning away to open the bottle of hydrogen peroxide and soaking the gauze with it. She met his gaze saying, “This will be cold,” before daubing it on his cut.

He flinched when she touched him.

“Sorry,” she muttered. “Did that hurt?”

“No.” It didn’t hurt. But then, it wouldn’t.

Most of the nerves there were dead. The only place it burned was on the sides, where his scars weren’t quite so thick.

She gently dabbed at him, making sure to get the antiseptic over the whole cut. “I’m going to cover this, but I need to wrap it around your waist,” she said. “It will be easier if you take off your shirt.”

God. No.

His belly was bad enough. But the rest of him?

“Kaitlin…”

“I need to do your arm too.”

“I can do my arm.”

She sent him a mocking pout. “Parker, let me help you. You helped me last night. It would be my honor to return the favor.”

God bless her. She was so damn sincere and genuine. How could he explain?

“I don’t like taking off my shirt,” he said. Well, that didn’t explain much. Then again, it explained everything. “These scars…” He waved to his exposed stomach. Hell he could barely stand to look at it himself. He hated the way he looked. Had since he was five.

“Yes?”

He sucked in a breath, steeling his spine. “I have them…all over.”

She set her hand on his knee. Her jaw went slack. Her eyes glazed over. “Wow,” she said after a long moment. She cleared her throat.

“That must have hurt a lot.”

He cracked a grin. He did not know why. “Yes. Yes it did.”

“Okay. Now take off your shirt.”

“Kaitlin…”

“Just do it, Parker. Let me wrap this up and then you can put your armor back on.” This she said gently, with no discernible derision. It was horrifying how she seemed to see right through to his soul.

Then again, it was comforting as well.

Which was probably why he did it…why he took the hem of his shirt in his hands and pulled it off. Exposing himself to another human—not in the medical profession—for the first time in years.

Tristan’s Temptation (Erotic Contemporary, Ellora’s Cave)

*************************

My review:  5 out of 5 stars

Parker's Passion by Sabrina York is part of the sensual ‘Tryst Island’ erotic contemporary romance series that centers around a group of close-knit friends and their weekend getaway house on Trystacumseh Island.  This story showcases Kaitlin Stringer who has mostly overcome the traumatic college experience in her past but who has continued to shun physical touch from everyone outside of her inner circle of friends, partly as a way to cope with her remarkable gift.  Parker Rieth is a successful divorce lawyer who has his own scars to deal with, both physically and emotionally, and doesn’t expect Kaitlin to turn his world upside down.  It is up to both of them to discover whether they can find healing with each other or are there too many obstacles from both past and present in the way?

This stirring novella combines both the sensual heat that readers have come to expect from this enjoyable series and the emotional depth that this author does such a great job of conveying.  Particularly enjoyable for me was the alternate view of events that have been depicted in other stories in this series, seen through the prism of the Kaitlin’s and Parker’s eyes.  The hope that is evoked as each of these main characters works beyond the life-changing events which have shaped them gives inspiration to anyone who has dealt with trauma in life.  There are quite a few very serious issues dealt with in this story which on the surface is a celebration of lust and life between apparently carefree people but each of them has multiple layers that both tie them to each other yet isolate them.  There is a bit of suspense mixed with the minefield that the two main characters are traversing and the challenge of dealing with the opinions of others around them is familiar to anyone who has friends and family meddling in their life.  A great addition to the series with delightful glimpses of other characters who hopefully will have their time in the spotlight as well.

Excerpt from THE FETISH QUEEN, PART 1: REBORN:
From page 15 “The Blonde” to the end of 20.

The blonde was sitting at the table when he finally made his way into the kitchen. She sat straight-backed and ladylike, looking as lovely as a 1950s movie star. She had a heart-shaped face with a pointed little chin and thick, soft-looking blond hair that probably curled when it was wet. He lost his breath again, just for a moment, and that pissed him off to no end.

He set her bag down on the table in front of her with a thunk. The thing weighed a ton.

“Thank you.” She quirked an eyebrow at him. “Where’s your dog?”

“My—” He turned around; he’d left Bambi outside.

He heard the front door open and after a moment, her happy shepherd face came around the corner of the living room, tongue lolling and tail wagging.

Mary followed, looking relaxed and comfortable in a tank top and pajama bottoms, her feet encased in a pair of Ugg loafers that John, her lover and manager at the Box, had purchased for her.

She handed him a plastic-wrapped newspaper from the yard as she walked by, smacking it against his chest. He took it with a grunt and sat down. Bambi made her way under the table and lay down on top of his feet.

Weak sunlight streamed into the room from a kitchen window as the scent of coffee filled the room. Mary crossed the kitchen and wrapped her arms around John. He was making coffee, undoubtedly for the blond queen of the universe. Atticus, John’s one-eyed Mal- tese, sat at John’s feet with his tail curled up over his back.

“Mmm, coffee,” Mary murmured, and kissed John’s shoulder. Atticus jumped up on her legs and she bent and picked him up.

“Hello, white dog,” she murmured to him, and nuzzled his neck while he licked her face.

Watching Lille from the corner of his eye, Max saw her smile at the scene. It was a soft, sad smile that made her seem human . . . almost.

Suddenly, as if she sensed his regard, she turned those green eyes on him and the softness disappeared from her expression. She stud- ied him as if he were a damn cut of beef at Whole Foods. Strike that. The shoppers at Whole Foods had more warmth. He didn’t know whether she wanted to fuck him or collar him like a stray dog and have him begging at her heels.

He rubbed his arms unconsciously, surprised as always that he couldn’t feel his tattoos as well as see them. He felt the need to get another, maybe a banshee intertwined with his dragon—just a bit of a warning like, he told himself, because while he knew Lille was spoiled and no doubt expected to be catered to at all times, she was also the prettiest damn thing he’d ever seen. He hated that he want- ed her almost as much as he hated the disruption he knew she was about to cause in his life.

“Anyone want a croissant?” Mary set a plate of the buttery goods down on the table and swung herself around the edge to take a seat next to her friend. Atticus followed Mary and joined Bambi under the table.

Lille took a pastry and turned her body away from Max, just a little, and he was able to relax enough to grab a croissant and pull off a chunk, scattering flakes that resembled fish food flakes. He ignored them for the moment, enjoying his breakfast while the women chatted about Lille’s trip and what was going on at the Box.

After a moment, John, who’d been Max’s best friend long before he’d been Mary’s lover, brought over the mugs of coffee on one of the brown serving trays from the pub. He set it down gently in the center of the table.

“Thanks, honey.” Mary winked at John before taking the mug with Garfield on it. John had been managing the Fetish Box for Man- dy before she died, and he stayed on as a manager when Mary took over. Max wondered what was going to happen now that the queen of the universe had arrived.

“Yes, thank you,” Lille added, and took the mug with the wicked stepmother from Cinderella. Appropriate, Max thought snidely.

John pulled out a chair and joined them, settling his lean, rangy frame with ease at the small table. He eyed Max knowingly and wig- gled his brows in Lille’s direction as he picked up his own mug from the tray: Slimer from Ghostbusters grinned at Max from the surface.

Max kept his arms crossed over his chest for a moment, but not even he could resist coffee for very long. John had placed a small metal pitcher of milk on the tray as well, but so far only Mary had used it. He guessed the queen preferred her coffee black. His mug was green and covered in rainbows and a pot of gold. John had been entirely too cheerful since he’d been getting laid on a regular basis. Max grimaced, but he wasn’t sure whether he was irritated with John or himself. Hell, he didn’t know what his problem was, but he thought a cigarette would help enormously.

He started to get up, but the mention of the Box drew his attention back to the women and their conversation.

“Everyone just calls it the Box,” Mary was explaining to Lille, which seemed to amuse the blonde.

“Just the Box, huh?” She had a dimple on one side of her mouth, for fuck’s sake.

“Yeah.” Mary was smiling her gentle smile, the one that made you think she was all innocent and nice, which she was . . . mostly, though she had a wild streak. The other one, Lille, didn’t seem nice at all . . . and her streak of bitch couldn’t have been more obvious if she’d tat- tooed it all over her body.

“I have some ideas for it,” Lille was telling Mary now.

“You’re going to love them. I promise.”

Ideas. Max scowled. He didn’t like that she was coming in and acting as if she had the right to make changes. Mary hadn’t done that and she owned the place. Of course, he’d done his best to freak Mary out when she’d arrived and that hadn’t worked . . . so maybe he understood women even less than he’d thought.

He kept the scowl on his face as she turned to look at him. “Problem, darling?” Lille asked him.

Max cracked his knuckles and shrugged. Mary was giving him her disapproving look, but she didn’t seem that serious about it.

“Just not sure why you’re bothering, luv. Surely it won’t take you long to find some rich man to put a ring on your finger. Why pretend you’re even interested?”

Mary’s eyes widened, but the blonde just looked at him for a moment. She seemed both amused and resigned at the same time. She leaned in, her bright green eyes holding him very, very still. Up close, her skin was peaches and cream, her lips maraschino-cherry red. She was like the 1950s pinups that his tattoo artist had on display in her parlor.

“Sweetie”—she reached out and ran one long nail down his cheek—“I’m sure you’re a great fuck and I have no doubt that we’ll get along splendidly in bed, but you don’t know the first thing about me.”

His cheek was tingling as if he’d just splashed on aftershave, which he rarely bothered to do.

“I’ve known women like ye.” He shrugged, shifting backward casually, but he wasn’t so sure anymore. Now he really itched for a cigarette, but he’d left them on the coffee table over at his house. “Rarely worth the trouble.”

She leaned back as well, mimicking him, her eyes cold and considering as she opened her blouse, just a little, and parted her lips on a sigh.

“That’s too bad,” she breathed, green eyes piercing him.

“I’ve always liked a man with tattoos.”

“Is that right?” Max swallowed. He knew she was fucking with him, but damned if he wasn’t falling for it.

“Oh, yeah.” A small smile of triumph made her eyes gleam. She leaned forward again, giving him a glimpse of her cleavage. “I like to trace them with my tongue. Has a woman ever done that? Traced them with her tongue while you lay there, helpless?”

Max flicked a glance at John and Mary, who were staring, unabashed, but Lille didn’t move, her gaze holding him fixed and fascinated.

“I have,” he snapped, though he hadn’t. He wasn’t a big fan of being tied up and helpless.

She relaxed and leaned back, lifting her coffee, dismissing him. “Well, that’s a shame. I do like to be the first.”
Max didn’t know what do with the volatile mix of lust and faint horror that was rolling around in his stomach. She was . . . she was . . . like no woman he’d ever met in his life, which made her unpredictable, dangerous.

“I’m off to the pub,” he snapped, standing abruptly and dislodging Bambi from her position on his feet. He heard the scramble of her nails on the tile floor as she hurried to follow him into the living room.

He yanked open the back door with more force than necessary and waited just long enough for Bambi to clear the opening before he slammed it shut.

The dog was the only bitch that he’d ever been able to stand for any length of time, and he didn’t see that changing anytime soon.

In Your Corner by Sarah Castille (pre-order blitz)

In Your Corner by Sarah Castille (@sarah_castille)

BLURB:

"You have to go. I won't be able to control myself. I've wanted you so bad for so long and after I've been in the cage...I can't think straight." He gives a guttural groan and his fist clenches on my hip.

Primitive. Primal. His need speaks to me. I tighten my grip on his neck and rock up to kiss him. He takes over. His kiss is hard and demanding.

"Mine." His voice is raw, savage and for a moment I truly believe he may lose control.

He rules in the ring

Two years ago, Jake and Amanda were going hot and heavy. But when Jake wanted more, Amanda walked away. Jake immersed himself in mixed martial arts, living life on the edge. But that didn't dull the pain of Amanda's rejection-until a chance encounter throws them together.

A high-powered lawyer, Amanda was a no-strings-attached kind of girl. But two years after her breakup with Jake, she still hasn't found anyone who gets her heart pumping the way he did. And then he shows up in her boardroom, hot as sin and needing help...

But can he rule her heart?

Jake is darker, sexier, and impossible to resist. As their chemistry builds, Amanda's not sure if she can stay in control, or if she's finally willing to let him claim her body and soul.
Barnes and Noble

Excerpt:

“Don’t move.”

Totally immersed in painting the cupboard, I freeze mid–paint stroke at the sound of Jake’s deep voice behind me.

“What? Am I doing something wrong?”

He closes the distance between us and runs his finger along the back waistband of my gym pants, sending delicious tingles up my spine. Then he slides his hands around my waist, bared by the rise of my T-shirt as I stretch to reach the top of the cupboard with my paintbrush.

“Yes. You look too damn sexy. Do you know what it does to a man when he catches a glimpse of something he isn’t meant to see?”

“I hope it makes him tell the woman she can call off the panic attack and drop her arm,” I mutter as I do just that. “I also hope it makes him decide his hands might be of better use somewhere other than around her waist.”

Jake slides his fingers around to my stomach, resting them just over my mound and his voice drops to a low growl. “I could make use of them here.”

“So says the man who turned down a good offer just the other night at Redemption.” I remove his hands and turn to face him, putting on a brave face while inside I seethe. Who does he think he is coming on to me after brushing me off?

“No games, Jake. You made your position clear. I got that. I’m not interested in being screwed around.”

He presses his hands against the cupboard on either side of my head, caging me with his body. “What are you interested in?”

“Moving on,” I say honestly.

His pulse throbs in his neck and his eyes harden. “With whom?”

“No one right now.”

He gives a satisfied grunt as if I had just cleared up a question in his mind. “Everyone is out back having a good time. You should be there too.”

“There’s a lot of work to do. I want to get it done. The faster I open shop, the faster I can start my lawsuit against Farnsworth.” I slip under his arm and edge along the counter.

“You’ve been working since six o’clock this morning.”

Grabbing a clean cloth from the counter, I make an effort to wipe the grease off my face. “I’m used to working twenty-hour days. I’m not afraid of hard work.” But I am afraid of mercurial fighters who run hot one minute and cold the next.

His face softens, and he takes the cloth from my hand and holds it under the tap. The pipes gurgle when he turns the rusty faucet and water gushes out, skimming over the cloth and trickling into the sink below. Without warning, he lifts me and settles me on the counter.

“You don’t have to work like that anymore.” His voice is calm, soothing. I am momentarily lulled out of work mode and into heat mode as he eases his hips between my legs and reaches to turn off the faucet. “It’s Saturday night. Time to relax and have fun.” With a firm hand, he cups my jaw and then wipes the cloth gently over my nose, forehead, and cheeks.

His gentle touch, the warmth of his hand, his breath, minty and sweet, and his hard body nestled between my thighs all converge in an unbearable rush of sensation. I grab his wrist, forcing his hand away.

“Jake…I’m good. Really. There’s so much to do. I’ll come out when I’m done and I’ve cleaned myself up.”

“I like you this way,” he murmurs. “You look…cute. Real.”

“Real?”

He brushes his thumb over my cheek. “Amanda without the armor. Your clothes, hair, makeup…nothing is perfect. It’s just the real you. I never got to see the real you before.”

Torn between being mortified and pleased, I reach for another cloth. “Real Amanda is covered in dirt and has holes in her sweats.”

He traces a finger down my throat to rest in the hollow at the base of my neck. The room heats to one hundred degrees, and if I’m not mistaken, I hear the sound of my blood boiling.

“I like holes in sweats.” His voice drops, husky and low, and his finger continues its downward journey into the vee of my shirt.

“Jake…”

He traces lightly over the crescent of my breast. “I like dirty girls,” he whispers, his voice thick with desire. “I can’t stay away.”

Oh God. Every bit of warmth rushes to my center as his deep, sensual voice ignites one of my dark fantasies. Jake, straddling my bound body, growling commands, telling me what he’s going to do to me in the filthiest language I know. A soft moan escapes my lips and we’re back on the roller coaster again.

“This game you’re playing confuses me.” His heart beats strong against my palm when I lay my hand over his chest.

“Me too.”

“Then what are you doing?”

His eyes take on a feral gleam and my breasts tingle.

“Playing dirty,” he growls. Tangling his hand in my hair, he tugs my head back, exposing my throat to the heated slide of his lips. “Sometimes you have to stop thinking too much and just go with it.”

My breath comes in short pants as he sucks gently on the pulse at the base of my throat. Barely able to form a coherent thought for the pounding of blood in my temples, I scramble for sanity. “There’s too much between us to just go with it. We need to talk…”

His hand closes in my hair, twisting roughly. “Lawyers talk. You don’t look like a lawyer now. You look fucking sexy, and your mouth is all lush and pink and needing to be kissed. You want to talk, Amanda, or you want that kiss?” He nips the hollow at the base of my neck.

Pleasure and pain meld together and I whimper as a heated rush of sensation floods my veins. “Kiss.”

Jake smiles. “My dirty girl wants a dirty kiss.” Holding my face, he slants his mouth over mine and kisses me.

Soft kiss. Sweet kiss. Warm, firm lips tasting faintly of coffee. His five o’clock shadow brushes my chin as his tongue eases my lips open to stroke against mine. My body melts against him as he explores my mouth, leaving nothing untouched. Tongues wind and tangle. Two years of fantasies coalesce in a single rasping breath.

“’S not so dirty,” I mumble against his lips.

“Oh, you don’t know how dirty I can be.” Jake grips my hair and tugs my head back with a firm, hard yank, sending little bolts of lightning straight to my core. Then he kisses me hard and fast. Rough. His teeth scrape my bottom lip as his tongue dives deep, filling me, taking what I have to give and demanding more. The pounding of my heart shifts from lust to fear as he consumes me, and for a moment I worry he has forgotten I need to breathe.

When he breaks the kiss, I draw in a long, ragged breath. “You never kissed me like that before.”

“You were never like this before,” he murmurs, his fingers easing up my shirt, his thumb tracing over the crescent of my breasts. “Raw and open, vulnerable, needing my help. So fucking real.”

My breath catches in my throat as he explores, cupping and squeezing my breasts and then teasing my nipples through my lace bra until they are tight, aching peaks.

“My clothes. Take them off.”

Cover Reveal for City Nights: One Night in Paris by Lucy Felthouse (@cw1985)  (ADULT title)

Blurb:

Jacob is nearly forty, and has recently come to the sudden realisation that he’s not doing much with his life. Sure, he’s got his own successful business, but what’s the point in earning lots of money and not doing anything or going anywhere to spend it?
He’s in serious danger of being all work and no play, so he starts to rectify this by organising a twenty-four hour layover in Paris en route to a meeting in Dubai. Whilst there, he goes on a bus tour of the city, and there meets Annabelle, a fellow Brit who’s studying in Paris. There’s clearly an attraction between the two of them, so when the gorgeous Annabelle makes an indecent proposal to help Jacob fill his time in Paris, who is he to refuse?
