It is my pleasure to present a guest post from author Amelia Swan:
AS: The most difficult thing (for me) about being a writer is finding the time to write and then having the discipline to actually do it. Currently, I work a few part-time jobs to help support my writing and my family. Juggling work, writing, and family can be tricky. It always seems like writing is the thing that gets pushed aside when all of my other responsibilities become too demanding. Sometimes that’s because there are other pressing matters at hand, and other times it’s because writing is hard.
When I have a million other things going on or I’m faced with a writer’s block, the act of sitting down and writing can seem like a real chore. It can feel like it takes hours to write a single page. Though it’s something I’m still working on, I have found a few remedies for this issue. I make sure I write something every day, even if it’s just half a page. If I’m having trouble concentrating or I’m stuck on a particular scene, I work on another piece or I’ll do some editing or I’ll skip ahead in the story and work on a scene that’s a little less challenging. I also try to fit in some writing during little pockets of time during the day I might find. I always carry a notebook with me in case I have a few spare minutes before an appointment so that I can jot down a quick paragraph or two. I’ve also found that if I make a writing goal for myself in the morning (like, “I’ll write three pages today), I’m more likely to get things accomplished.

BLURB:
Claire is dreading her 30th birthday…until she finds out Jay is flying out to help her and Dylan celebrate. Armed with a new dress and a carefree attitude, Claire is ready for whatever the big night may bring.
It’s been three months since the last time Jay met up with the married couple he’s grown so fond of. When he finds out Claire’s birthday is coming up, he jumps at the opportunity to see them again.
Jay and Dylan are hoping to give Claire a birthday she’ll never forget, but she ends up getting so much more…
What would make Claire’s 30th birthday a memorable event? A night in bed with her husband and their lover.
Publisher’s Note: This title contains explicit sexual content, graphic
language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: male/male
sexual situations, ménage (m/m/f).

EXCERPT
I looked at Jay. With his full beard, broad chest, and tall
stature, he was all man. Jay was powerfully sexy, and I couldn’t wait to watch
him take control once we got home.
My eyes drifted back to Dylan, my beautiful husband. His
high cheek bones and lean musculature were enough to take my breath away, and
they usually did on a nightly basis. I couldn’t wait to share him with a man we
both loved and trusted.
I sat up straight and pushed my chair out an inch from the
table. “I’m ready to go.” I looked back and forth between the two of them,
surprised they hadn’t caught the urgency in my tone. “Like right now.”
We hadn’t received the check yet, but that didn’t stop both
men from digging into their wallets and throwing a few bills apiece onto the
table. I knew Jay and Dylan well enough to be sure they left more than enough
to cover the bill and tip the waitress exceptionally well. The three of us
stood and hastily pushed in our chairs, hoping to hurry out of the restaurant
while trying to look inconspicuous.
