Compromising Her Position by Samantha Becke (review)

Compromising Her Position by Samanthe Beck is an adult contemporary romance story that follows underappreciated assistant resort manager Chelsea Wayne as she deals with a series of personal events that impact her professional career. Her relocation to an even more exotic location fails to rid her of the attentions of CEO Rafe St. Sebastian, whose sizzling introduction to the very capable Chelsea complicates his own career plans. The two of them are a combustible combination, but unfortunately, they have very different agendas…or do they?

This wonderfully entertaining story starts with an explosive encounter and deftly describes a whirlwind relationship that has to weather a fascinating series of hiccups. I love the deliciously spicy interludes and the way they are balanced by the drama that impacts poor Chelsea, even as she deftly handles the hilarious requests that are glimpses of the challenges to the hospitality industry. The full circle journey back to the closet had me laughing so hard as the dramatic final clash got derailed by one thing after another. It was lovely to watch Rafe (gradually) mature and I hope to see more of his sister. I enjoyed the fast pace and the quick steamy story and will definitely be looking for more works by this talented author!
