Phate's Mate: The Thelli Logs

(Intergalactic Dating Agency)

ADULT title

by

A.M. Griffin

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
GENRE: Sci-fi Romance
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BLURB:

The Peacekeeper.

When his shy neighbor knocked on his apartment door, Phate’s mission to stay off the humans’ radar until the rescue team arrived changed in a blink of an eye. He not only wants to tell this delectable human about alien existence, but he also wants to take her back to Thelli with him.

Getting to know her was proving difficult when his new mission involves joining a dating app in an effort to see if humans are compatible enough to join the Intergalactic Dating Agency.

The Workaholic.

Tasha worked hard building her small business on Main Street and didn’t have time for distractions. With a fire-cracker best friend and three new mysterious neighbors, Tasha was finding herself thinking of something other than her boutique for a change. But fate? Fate has a way of intervening, and she finds out the hard way that she can’t run or hide from her feelings, especially when distraction as fine as Phate lives right next door.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EXCERPT
 Would it be too much to ask to slip inside her apartment without having to run smack dab into Phate unfolding his massive body from a cab?
Yes. Because fate seemed to be playing a cruel trick on her. Both versions.
At seeing him exiting the cab, Tasha did what anyone who had a crush on their sexy as hell neighbor would do. She cursed under her breath, put her head down and hurried up the front steps, trying to make it to the apartment building door while frantically hoping he didn’t notice her.
“Tasha!” Phate called out just as her hand reached the door.
Again. Fate was cruel. Oh, so very cruel.
Tasha could pretend not to hear him and run inside, but that would make her look…crazy, weird, scared? All of the above. Her heart pounded against her ribs. She closed her eyes and tried to rein in her panic.
One. Two. Three.
Tasha swallowed. There was no need to behave this way.
Get it together.
She took a deep and steadying breath and turned to greet him with a fake smile plastered across her face. “Heeeyyyy, you.”
He had on clothes that matched this time—somewhat. She wasn’t quite sure if purple and orange normally went together, but on him it looked as if a professional had styled him. He could never walk a runway. His build was too big and bulky, and his gait was more predatory than model-isk. And she loved it. All of it. The entire package.
He walked toward her; brow crinkled. “Phate. My name is Phate.”
Eyes up, don’t look at his powerful legs. “I know. I was just…”
What? Was caught off guard by how fine he looked and couldn’t get her hormones in check to act sane for two seconds while in his presence?
“Here, let me get this. I’m supposed to open doors for females.”
He stepped around her to open the door, brushing his body slightly against hers and giving her a nose full of his scent. A deep wood smell tickled her nose and sent shivers down her spine, making her knees weak. If she wanted to look at his face, she would have to take a step back and crane her neck to see his eyes. He made her feel small and dainty and she liked it.
She plastered herself against the door, trying to avoid any more touching and went through. “Um, thank you. Men don’t open doors where you’re from?”
He entered behind her and tilted his head. The heat of him was at her back. “There’s no need to. All doors are automatic.”
She chuckled nervously as she made her way toward the elevator. “All doors are automatic? That’s a blanket statement.”
He stepped in line with her and shrugged. “They are.”
She pressed the “Up” button and willed the elevator to come as soon as possible.
“If there were manual doors, I don’t believe the females on my—where I’m from—would appreciate being coddled like they do here.”
The elevator dinged its arrival and opened. She stepped inside and he followed. Her heart thumped as soon as they were enclosed in the space together. His rich scent intensified.
Oh, God.
She pushed the fourth-floor button. “They’re progressive, are they?”
He tilted his head to the side, causing the blond curls to sway in movement. Her fingers longed to wrap around a lock and play with it. The elevator doors shut, and her stomach dipped as it rose.
“They’ve spent many years proving they’re just as capable as the males. They wouldn’t appreciate being treated any differently because of their gender.”
Damn. That sexy voice.
“So, they don’t want or rather, need the door opened for them? Do they like their chairs held out? Or what about the meals and dates? Do they pay for them too?”
Phate shrugged his massive shoulders. “We treat them as equals. Who pays with their credits isn’t really a factor.”
Tasha pulled her eyebrows together. “Credits?”
The elevator dinged and the doors opened.
“Money,” he added quickly.
She breezed through the door and made her way down their hall.
“Credits. Is that what money is called where you’re from?”
“Yes.”
“And exactly where are you from?” she pressed.
“Not here.”
She chuckled. “I gathered that much. Your accents gave it away. I can’t put my finger on it though. Maybe Greek?”
“Have you ever been to Greek?”
Tasha stopped at her door and frowned as she turned to face him. “Do you mean, have I ever been to Greece?”
His face was serious as he nodded. “Yes, that.”
The Game Warden's Mate by A.M. Griffin (VBB, excerpt, and GIVEAWAY) GFT. ADULT title
by
A.M. Griffin
ADULT title
The Hunt. As the new Game Warden, Xrez Ym’ihla brings patrons from across the galaxy to track prey in a game built to enslave the weak and mate the strong. The business is a long running family legacy and Xrez is determined to succeed as his father had before him. He hadn’t meant to let one human occupy his thoughts, mind, and body.
His lies may come back to haunt him, but if he reveals the truth, he’ll ruin his chance to capture the heart of the one he wants.
The Prey. Esme Valdez had her entire life planned from an early age. As a chemist, her life was average and mundane, just the way she liked it. Until the impossible happened. Never did she imagine being abducted by aliens and forced to participate in a survival of the fittest game called The Hunt. If she survives and makes it to the end, she’ll be freed. If not, she’ll be forced to mate the one who captures her.
Esme is determined to win at all costs, even if it means putting her trust in a sexy alien who taunts her in the most delectable way.
Their love was built on betrayal. Can she trust him with her heart and life?
******************
Excerpt
Xrez watched the hologram and vividly remembered how prey reacted during the introductory phase. It didn’t matter the species, at some point, they would go into survival mode and divide into the groups they thought would give them the best chance.
“One of them has a beast,” Xrez noted.
It was small, oddly shaped and quadrupedal. It kept close to the pale female, protectively. Its fur wasn’t much different than his hair, short, but where the beast’s fur appeared smooth, Xrez and other Dar’E had wiry, coarse hair.
“Oh, yes! This should prove interesting. We’ve never had one of those in The Hunt before. The human called it a dog. The universal translator has input it as a companion, animal, protector.”
When the female got up to walk across the camp, the dog followed dutifully by her side. Xrez thought the description fit. As time went on the translator would input other information about the dog.
The female and her beast walked past another female. She appeared smaller than the first. She had skin as dark as the coarse hair covering his body. But his coloring was dull compared to the radiance of her. Her skin was vibrant under the sun, glowing with energy.
He’d only seen humans on holograms, none in the flesh. He’d always thought they appeared soft and mushy. Those weren’t attributes he wanted in a companion or mate. Instead of turning him off, this one made his belly stir.
Xrez reached out. His hand hovered over the hologram. Of course, he couldn’t feel anything, but that didn’t stop his longing. How would his fingers and claws feel against her skin? Would he scratch her?
He balled his fingers and brought back his hand. She was too soft for him to touch. Her skin was much too thin to withstand his claws. He would never be able to grip her butt or scrape his claws down her back while she rode him.
She lifted her hair off her neck and used her other hand to fan her back. Her hair was dark, almost black, but under the sun’s light, he saw shimmers of gold. It appeared soft and wavy, thick and long.
He decided then that he would run his fingers through it.
D'zia's Dilemma by Keri Kruspe (BBT, excerpt, and GIVEAWAY) GFT ADULT title
by
Keri Kruspe
ADULT title
Guardians of the Galaxy meets The Princess Bride.
The second book in the trilogy, D’zia’s Dilemma features a disembodied galactic gangster, a snarky spybot, and a sentient, lovesick spaceship. If you like non-stop action, powerful emotions, and sensual aliens, you’ll love the next installment of An Alien Exchange.
A woman betrayed. An alien duke faced with an impossible decision. Can two lovers who long to be together overcome those determined to keep them apart?
Lora Dharma Callahan excitedly agrees to leave Earth to attend “The Exchange” and meet the alien mate of her dreams. Instead of finding true love, she’s forcibly kidnapped and held captive by an alien lunatic who plans to take over the galaxy. He’s going to use her to create a serum that will ultimately enslave every human female on Earth. But no emperor wannabe is going to keep this girl down. Lora will find a way to save not only herself, but her planet as well.
Duke D’zia Yaq E’etu, cousin to the crown prince of Zerin, suspects a malicious plot to overthrow the galactic government. When the opportunity arises to insinuate himself in the suspected traitor’s stronghold, he doesn’t hesitate to use his infiltration skills. While there, he encounters Lora, whom he soon recognizes as his TrueBond. The only problem…she’s imprisoned and scheduled for experiments that will destroy her.
Now D’zia has a hard choice to make. Should he stay and get the proof he needs to prevent a narcissistic megalomaniac from taking over the galactic government…or escape with the only female he can claim as his own?
Excerpt
She didn’t remember falling. One minute she’d been in the middle of hundreds of bodies, and the next…she was…here.
“Here” was a damp, cobbled floor. The uneven rocks painfully dug into her head, back, and bottom. With a wobbly, shaky breath, she coughed at the moldy smell of rotten eggs. Her tongue was thick and dry as she shivered in the damp air.
Oh, ick! Even her tunic and leggings stuck to her skin.
Okay, time to sit up. After a few pathetic tries, she finally levered her body into an upright position and panted, completely exhausted. Now for the next problem…she couldn’t see anything. It was so black it was hard to tell if her eyes were open. At least nothing hurt, except for her head. Yay for small favors.
She tilted her head at a distant, stomping sound. What was that? Her stomach dropped. Was someone coming?
The blackness eased into a murky gray. Wait, was it getting lighter? She blinked, waiting for her eyes to adjust. The dimness morphed into simple gray as a dull light filtered through the small door window. As the image of her surroundings became clear, she shivered and shut her eyes. Like that was going to help. There was no way to unsee she was in a tiny prison, complete with rock walls slathered in dirt and green slime.
It looked like “Dungeons-R-Us” had a sale and she was the lucky recipient.
An Alien Exchange by Keri Kruspe (VBB, excerpt, and GIVEAWAY) GFT ADULT title
by
Keri Kruspe
Aimee Gwiazdowski has a passion for Alien Abduction romance stories. She vicariously lives through the heroines of her books to escape her lonely, loveless life. Until one morning, she wakes up in a strange, white room where an alluring voice invites her to the “Exchange” to find love and adventure in another world. Did she dare believe it? Could she leave everything behind and take a chance to become one of those heroines who finds true love among the stars?
Exiled Prince Qayyum E’etu and commander of the space vessel StarChance has a mission—transport the human women to the Exchange along with an offer he can’t refuse: find evidence against rumored human trafficking connected with the Exchange. If he can successfully bring the traitors back to Zerin for justice, it would give him a chance to return home. How was he supposed to know that meeting a human woman would put everything he was working for in jeopardy?
As unforeseen evil slowly brews discord within the galaxy, it works to tear Aimee and Qay further apart. If they don’t learn to overcome their fears and trust the love they have for each other, the coming cataclysm will devastate not only Zerin, but Earth as well.
An Alien Exchange is the first book in a sci-fi romance that features intergalactic action, engrossing plots, and courageous individuals. If you like fast-paced action, raw emotions, and sexy aliens, you’ll love this new space adventure.
Dedication
I dedicate this book to those who are alone in a crowd. To those who are desperately trying to right a wrong they’ve done in the past. Sometimes taking a chance may seem crazy, but you’ll never know until you try.
Excerpt
Star struck, she gawked at him with her mouth open. Any preconceived notion she had about masculine beauty changed. His overt, exceptional maleness matched the images she’s conjured while reading her sci-fi romances.
His skin was a light russet brown nestled by a pearlescent sheen. Hair black as midnight layered with strands of cobalt blue reflected when he moved. A subtle widow’s peak crowned a smooth, wide forehead. A tiny intricate braid at his right temple ended in a long curl at the front of his crotch, framing his manhood. Pulled hair bared ears larger than a human’s, the tips ending in a slight point. A small gold hoop pierced the left tip, twinkling as it danced and teased in the light. Aimee’s lips moistened as she envisioned savoring the combination of warm flesh and cool steel.
She took in his matching black eyebrows. They rose up and down like an upside down V over his almond-shaped eyes framed by a set of thick lashes. Instead of black, his pupils were a dark iridescent green, oval-shaped and surrounded by a ring of dual color. The first ring was a dark emerald with the outer ring a contrasting shade of lighter green. His full lips parted in a patronizing smile and displayed small fangs where human eyeteeth were.
He pulled his arms away from his chest and she noticed he had three fingers on each hand instead of four. Those fingers were long and thick, one digit not any shorter or smaller than another— his thumbs no different than a human.
She sighed, trying to picture how many toes he had.
“Satisfied?” His amused accented tone left no doubt he was making fun of her. “Believe in aliens now?”
The book is on sale for $0.99 during the tour.
Why I wrote this book
I was reading one of my favorite Sci-fi romances on my electronic reader after watching the latest’s news about computer hacking. It got me thinking…what if aliens hacked into my reading habits to find someone like me who liked alien romances. Wouldn’t that be a perfect way to find women who might be willing to leaving Earth to find love among the stars…
I envisioned Star Wars meets Pretty Woman. And that, they say, was that. My story An Alien Exchange was born.
Between Venus & Mars by S.C. Mitchell (Spotlight, excerpt, review, and GIVEAWAY) GFT ADULT title
by
 S.C.Mitchell
is an ADULT title
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

GENRE:   Fantasy

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
Once Upon a Galaxy . . .
Zana Starchild is on a mission to restore her tribe’s livestock and save herself from one more meal of kelp. Sure, it’s technically illegal to visit Old Earth, but to a rim rat like Zana, galactic laws are really just guidelines. Her wrecked starship just means she’ll need to use her backup plan to get off the abandoned world, an old Earth legend her uncle passed down to her.
Pulled from a relaxing shower, across the galaxy to Old Earth, Galactic Marshall Kyle Kepler finds himself naked and marooned with a quirky rim rat. Zana’s broken more laws than Kyle can count, and he plans to arrest her, just as soon as he can find transport off the planet and a pair of pants.
A junk heap of a starship, a magical tree, and a roving gang of mutant kangaroos are just the beginning of rollicking intergalactic journey filled with laughs, love, and adventure.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

EXCERPT

Gasping, she reached the top of the hill, her eyes glued to the tree. This had to be her uncle’s Soul Mate Tree.

She scanned her surroundings. Not another tree in sight anywhere.

The twisted, gnarled trunk was just as he’d described it. Golden bark with dark brown patches. Small, oval leaves, pale green on top with silvery undersides.

“Not really the way I planned on meeting Mr. Right.” She’d decided to avoid that little occurrence indefinitely. In her experience, men were nothing but trouble. They wanted sex, which meant babies, which meant settling down. And they wanted to control everything.

Nope, not ready for that.

According to her uncle, she just needed to touch the tree for it to work its magic.

She reached out, palming the bark as she scurried around to put the trunk between her and her pursuers. “Come on, tree. Get me out of here. Any time.”

She hoped her Soul Mate didn’t turn out to be Andel Narkol. The boy was big and strong, but dumb as a stump. Kennen Plankold had a little more sense, but his nasally voice . . .

Maybe it will be someone I don’t even know yet. Though she was pretty sure she’d met all the eligible men on Konga 10.

“What the hell!” Deep, golden, bassy tones exploded behind her.

“Stupid tree. You were supposed to send me to him, not bring him here.”

Her hand shook as she fired at the first roo to crest the hill. She missed by a mile.

What the hell was she supposed to do now?

“Give me that.” A large, well-muscled, bare arm reached over her shoulder to snatch the blaster from her hand. “Teleporting sentient beings is against galactic law,” he snarled.

Great, the love of her life sounded like a cop. Still, he had a big, bumpy, delicious looking arm.

My review:

4.25 stars

Between Venus and Mars by S.C. Mitchell is a science fiction romance story that is part of ‘The Soul Mate Tree’ series. Zana Starchild is on a desperate mission to save her family and friends from starvation after space pirates pillaged their planet. Her trip to the forbidden Old Earth may reap unexpected benefits, if her uncle’s stories about a remarkable tree have a basis in fact. Of course, she will have to survive the roving bands that want to eat her and convince Mr. Hunky Chunky, aka Galactic Marshal Kyle Kepler, that not only does he need to not arrest her (and perhaps wash the slimy stuff out of his hair) but that he has been magically transported to meet his soul mate—her.

This was such a fun story that combined creative twists on various science fiction staples such as space pirates, settling of other planets, a galactic peace-keeping force, and the fall of Earth’s civilizations, while providing both humorous and romantic interludes. The chemistry between the main characters balances the conflict between them and I was kept entertained by both their adventures and the way they interact with each other. I liked the challenge they faced to reconcile pragmatism about survival and following the letter of the law and I enjoyed the creativity and determination that both main characters displayed. Although this is a quick and lighthearted read, this story appealed to my love of science fiction and tied in with the series nicely. I think this is the first book I have read by this author, but I certainly will be on the lookout for more of his stories.

When the galaxy is threatened with annihilation, Xenia and Quinn join forces to stop the murderous Tai-Kok. Fate has brought them together and nothing will stand in the way of their victory or their love.

“I will do what is necessary to keep my mother safe.”

Quinn snorted. “And get your ass shot off. Wait for me.”

“No.”

“Stupidity is not a virtue.”

The first chance I got I was stunning his ass. “You need to get laid. It might improve your disposition.” I gave myself a mental head smack. Goddess, where in the nine hells had that come from?

A smile curved Quinn’s mouth. “You offering, darlin’?”

“Not in this lifetime.” My love life might suck, but taking on a dictatorial, bad- tempered Coletti warrior was sheer madness. A sigh escaped me. No matter how attractive I found him.

“You’ve never been kissed, have you?”

My jaw dropped. What? One look at the devilry in Quinn’s eyes, and I knew he enjoyed provoking me. “That is none of your business.” My duties didn’t allow time for romance, and keeping Mami safe was a full-time job.

Quinn smirked. “Pucker up, sweetheart. It’s an easy fix.”

I started the hover bike and zoomed off. I was definitely stunning him. Twice.

I was a 9-1-1 dispatcher for the Glendale Police Department and to keep from going totally bonkers – I mean people have no idea of what a real emergency is. Take this for an example: I answered, “9-1-1 emergency, what’s your emergency?” And this hysterical woman yelled, “My bird is in a tree.” Sometimes I really couldn’t help myself, so I said, “Birds have a tendency to do that, ma’am.” The woman screeched, “No! You don’t understand. My pet parakeet is in the tree. I’ve just got to get him down.” Like I said, not a clue. “I’m sorry ma’am, but we don’t get birds out of trees.” The woman then cried, “But… What about my husband? He’s up there, too.” See what I had to deal with? To keep from hitting myself repeatedly in the head with my phone, I took up writing.
