Taylor and Danielle (a true life love story) (updated 6/10/13)

Be warned, this is a series of pictures that show great trials and tribulations as well as a wonderful love story.  I first saw this on another blog and I started to search for the people behind the story and realized that the photographer's name is on the photos so I looked for his website and read more about all of these amazing friends and lovers.  I advise you to have the tissues ready....

A story of Taylor Morris as told through pictures taken by his friend Tim Dodd.  If you want more background info, please see Tim's site at this link and Taylor's site at this link.

Please note:  I have an e-mail in to the photographer asking for permission but I imagine he is a very busy person and it may take me awhile to hear back from him.   Considering that this story went viral last fall, I can't imagine that there will be an issue, but if the post disappears, it will be because I was asked to remove it.

Update, 6/10/13 I am delighted to report that Tim Dodd has taken the time to respond and given permission (phew!) to post the photos, only asking that I also give a link to Taylor Morris' blog as well (which I have placed above).  I took a quick peek and it looks like this amazing hero is continuing to challenge himself and that he and Danielle remain busy and devoted to each other and to overcoming obstacles as well as taking the time to enjoy life.

LOVE STORY - a story in pictures that you won't easily forget

AND IT BEGINS . . . .

If he is a hero...........She is an angel

--
God has blessed us all, for he has put Marines, Sailors, Airmen and Soldiers here to protect what we believe in!

THE FINAL INSPECTION

The Soldier stood and faced God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass.
'Step forward now, Marine, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?' The Marine squared his shoulders and said,
'No, Lord, I guess I have not. Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep... Though I worked a lot of overtime, When the bills got just too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear.. And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears
If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't, I'll understand. There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod. As the Marine waited quietly, For the judgment of his God. 'Step forward now, Marine, You've borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in Hell.' Author Unknown~

It's the Marine, Sailor, Soldier and Airmen not the reporter Who has given us the Freedom of the Press. It's the Marine, Sailor, Soldier and Airmen not the poet, Who has given us the Freedom of Speech. It's the Marine, Sailor, Soldier and Airmen not the politicians That ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.. It's the Marine, Sailor, Soldier and Airmen who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag.

  2. Isn't it? I think it should be required viewing for Congress and remind them of the true cost of the war!
